George Springer Clobbers 2nd-Longest Homer in MLB This Season on 473-Foot Blast

By Anthony Blake

George Springer hit two home runs for the Houston Astros on Wednesday, and they hit six total as a team in a 17-6 demolition of the Minnesota Twins.

But the one blast from Springer will forever change the way you look at Target Field, as he nearly reached the third deck with this shot.

A 473-foot #SpringerDinger! Second-longest HR in @MLB this year (Lamb, 481) & longest for @astrosbaseball in #Statcast era.

That ball was dead center in the barrel of the bat.

The Arizona DiamondbacksJake Lamb destroyed a 481-foot bomb earlier in 2017, and this shot from Springer ranks second only to that dinger in MLB this season.
