Cubs Prospect Eloy Jimenez Shatters Stadium Light With Moonshot Dinger

The Chicago Cubs have developed a number of impressive players down on the farm in recent years, which led to their triumphant World Series win last season.

But that doesn’t mean they’re devoid of minor-league talent currently.

Outfielder Eloy Jimenez currently plays for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, who are Chicago’s advanced A-ball affiliate. During batting practice on Monday, Jimenez clobbered a moonshot dinger that shattered a stadium light and garnered the attention of MLB aficionados everywhere.
