Josh Donaldson Loses Control of Bat, Drills Umpire in the Head in Scary Incident

By Jason Fletcher

Josh Donaldson and the Toronto Blue Jays squared off against Eduardo Rodriguez and the Boston Red Sox Monday night.

Rodriguez struck out Donaldson in the top of the first inning, but during the at-bat, Josh lost control of his bat on a foul ball.

The bat struck umpire Chris Segal in the head and he went to the ground in a heap.

Thankfully, Segal seemed to be okay and was able to stay in the game.
