Houston Astros' Colin Moran Hospitalized After Fouling Pitch Off Eye

By Anthony Blake

A typical slider from Baltimore Orioles sidearm reliever Darren O’Day with plenty of movement on it turned into a scary moment for Houston Astros batter Colin Moran on Saturday night.

When the inside pitch caught a piece of his bat, the ball ricocheted up into the eye of Moran and left him in a bad way at the plate.

The foul ball sent Moran to the hospital to be evaluated for fractures or a possible concussion, leading teammate Carlos Correa to send out his thoughts.

Hopefully Moran can fully recover from this scary incident and continue his career without any long-term effects.
