Diamondbacks Pitcher Robbie Ray Drilled In Head With 108-MPH Line Drive

By Timothy Downs

A scary scene unraveled during Arizona Diamondbacks vs. St. Louis Cardinals on Friday night.

In the bottom of the second inning, Diamondbacks southpaw Robbie Ray was absolutely drilled in the head by a 108-MPH line drive off the bat of Luke Voit.

As scary as it was, Ray was conscious and able to give the crowd a thumbs up while being carted off the field.
