When Tim Tebow was promoted to the Advanced-A Port St. Lucie Mets last month, many lifelong MLB experts were certain he would fail on a regular basis.
Perhaps they had good reason to doubt Tebow’s promotion, as he’d only hit .220 with three HR and 23 RBI in 64 games with the low-A Columbia Fireflies.
However, since returning to play in his home state of Florida, Tebow’s haters and naysayers haven’t had a whole lot to say, as all he’s done is hit over .300 with five HR and 20 RBI in just 30 games.
On Saturday night, Tebow hit his fifth dinger (a three-run blast).
