Yu Darvish Dominates In Dodgers Debut Against Floundering Mets

By RantSports Staff

On Monday, the Los Angeles Dodgers made an 11th hour deal with the Texas Rangers to acquire Japanese hurler Yu Darvish a reported 15 minutes prior to the non-waiver trade deadline.

Darvish, 30, finally made his Dodgers debut against the floundering New York Mets on Friday night, and Los Angeles look incredibly wise for pulling off the deal.

Darvish tossed seven shutout innings with 10 K’s as the Dodgers cruised to a 6-0 victory.

Now that Darvish is wearing Dodger blue, Los Angeles can be extra careful with Clayton Kershaw to avoid bringing him back prematurely considering they have a 14.5 game lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the NL West.
