Cardinals' Yadier Molina Cracks Grand Slam Right After Cat Invades Busch Stadium

By Anthony Blake

It’s supposed to be a bad omen if a black cat crosses your path, but apparently a tiger-striped feline signals good fortune for the St. Louis Cardinals.

This kitty miscalculated his evening rounds and wound up out on the diamond only to be shown the door.

?Soft kitty, warm kitty, little ball of fur … ?

And right after the kid tasked with escorting the cat from the stadium was all scratched up, this happened.

What happened right after the cat ran on the field? Yadi hit a #PapaSlam. Can you say #RallyCat?

Call it coincidence if you want, but Yadier Molina and the Cardinals have their new rally animal at this point.

Birds and cats aren’t usually the best allies, but in this case they can make it work.
