When you hear the Quebec rap, you get hyped for Georges St. Pierre. Like boxing, the walkout songs used by an athlete can really change the crowd atmosphere for a fight. Here are the 10 best UFC walkout songs:
Matt Hughes – “A Country Boy Can Survive” by Hank Williams Jr.
Matt Hughes has eaten a big country breakfast and is ready to kick your butt. Country music may not really fit the combat sports milieu, but this is a perfect song for the UFC legend.
Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira – “Gimme Shelter” by The Rolling Stones
For Minotauro’s run in the UFC, he chose to use the Stones’ Gimmie Shelter. For the master of taking a beating and keeping on ticking, a great song.
Mauricio Rua – “Sail” by Armin Van Buren
Techno stuff doesn’t really fit MMA either, but Shougn makes this work.
Rich Franklin – “For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)” by AC/DC
A classic theme song for a classic fighter.
Yoshihiro Akiyama – “Time to Say Goodbye” by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman (version 2 of Con te partiro)
Sexyama classes things up with Sarah Brightman/Andrea Bocelli and seated bowing.
Yushin Okami – “Battle Without Honor or Humanity” by Tomoyasu Hotei
A little stereotypical, but this instrumental best known from Kill Bill perfectly illustrates Okami’s nickname of “Thunder.”
Wanderlei Silva – “Sandstorm” by Darude
Again with the techno. Only Wanderlei could make something like this work- he’s been using this since the old Pride days.
Frank Mir – “Amazing” by Kayne West
The lyrics fit perfectly for a cocky skilled heavyweight like Mir.
Diego Sanchez – “We Will Rock You” by Queen
As Joe Rogan says in this particular walkout, ‘that is the most intense dude in MMA.’ When you hear the ‘YES’ and the Queen, you know the next minutes are going to be frantic.
Brock Lesnar – “Enter Sandman” by Metallica
An all-American classic for an all-American man. Pushing cop not included.

Genki Sudo
For reasons of brevity, the title of this post says “UFC entrances.” This ignores the fact that there have been many major organizations in the history of MMA. Here’s the greatest showman in MMA history, Genki Sudo:
