UFC News: Huge Card For UFC on Fox 5
Ron Chenoy-US PRESSWIRE

UFC officials have just confirmed a huge line up for the “UFC on Fox 5″ Card. The event will take place on December 8th.  It was announced on Wednesday that lightweight champion Benson Henderson will be defending his title against Nate Diaz. To compliment the main event, former UFC champion BJ Penn will fight the Canadian born Rory MacDonald, and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will take on Alexander Gustafsson in the co-main event.

The UFC is really giving back with this event. It is not very often that we get to watch an event of this magnitude for free.

Nate Diaz has been waiting for his title shot for a while now and has finally gotten his chance. Many are saying that Diaz is a better fighter than Henderson, and that he should be able to win the fight convincingly . Some disagree but I would say those statements are pretty accurate. Nate Diaz has an amazing ability to slowly pick opponents apart standing, much like his brother Nick, and has without a doubt a superior jiu-jitsu game compared to Hendersons. I do not see this fight going to decision, both fighters like to stay aggressive on their feet and should make for an amazing bout when standing.

UFC on Fox has put on some amazing cards this year and continues to impress UFC fans with there free cards. To be honest when the deal was first done, I thought that it would be like the UFC:Fight Nights, but has surpassed those expectations by leaps and bounds. It is safe to say that the UFC fans are pleased with the new partnership they have began with the Fox Network.
