A dynamic featherweight bout is set to take place at UFC 152 between Cub Swanson and Charles Oliveira. Both of these fighters possess amazing skills sets and each have dynamic finishing abilities when they step inside the octagon. They will be trying to move up the competitive 145 lb ladder, which is currently reigned by Jose Aldo.

Swanson comes into this fight with an overall record of 17-5. He is coming off an impressive TKO finish over Ross Pearson, a bout that was back and forth until Swanson landed a devastating straight right that sent Pearson to the canvas. He also has notable wins over George Roop, Mackens Semerzier and John Franchi. Swanson is one of the best standing fighters in the division and he is also dynamic off his back in terms of submissions. His guillotine is a force to be reckoned with as seen with his win over Franchi and Tommy Lee.

Oliveira comes into this fight with an overall record of 16-2. Oliveira burst onto the UFC scene when he faced Darren Elkins, a bout that displayed some amazing grappling skills. He would ultimately sink in a submission via armbar. Oliveria would then go to beat such stars as Efrain Escudero, Eric Wisely and Jonathan Brookins. Charles has some of the best jiu jitsu in the featherweight division and he will need to execute in the grappling realm if he wants to come out victorious against Swanson.

This match up will be interesting stylistically. Swanson will need to keep this fight standing and look to land some good combinations. He may also want to avoid the ground game because Oliveira has proved to be very dynamic off his back. For Oliveira, he will need to set up his take downs with his boxing. He has a slight advantage in the grappling realm and he will need to lock up something early on in order to come out the victor.
