A light heavyweight showdown takes place this weekend on UFC on Fox between Rampage Jackson and Glover Teixeira.  This fight means a lot for both fighters at this point in their career.  Both of these fighters have been fighting for years now and have numerous fights under their belts.  Also, they each possess knockout power in their hands, making this an intriguing striker’s match.

This will be Jackson’s last fight with the UFC, and he will be looking to end it with a spectacular finish.  Jackson has had brilliant career since joining the UFC promotion from Pride, with career highlights like his knockout of Chuck Liddell en route becoming the new light heavyweight champion of the world.

He would then battle Dan Henderson in a classic five-round fight, which was a back and forth war that Jackson won.  From there, Rampage would have mixed results in the UFC, winning only four out of his past eight fights.  He has gone on record saying that the UFC never gave him favorable match ups.  Unfortunately for Jackson, Glover Teixeira is no walk in the picnic either.

Teixeira has been a highly-touted prospect in MMA for some time now.  Finally under the UFC banner, many are picking him to give Jon Jones a run for his money.  In his UFC debut, he smashed Kyle Kingsburry, submitting him via arm-triangle.  Next, he went go to war with Fabio Maldonado, and would dominate him for three rounds.  Glover is currently on a a 17-fight winning streak, which is unheard of in mixed martial arts today.

Will Glover be able to send Rampage out of the UFC with a loss, or will Rampage end his UFC tenure in brilliant fashion?  Keep it locked here for the latest coverage of UFC on Fox 6.
