UFC 159: Michael Bisping vs. Alan Belcher On Tap
A middleweight bout is in the works for the co-main event at UFC 159 between Alan Belcher and Michael Bisping. Both of these fighters are coming off devastating losses, so their determination to get a win will be at an all time high.
Belcher comes into this fight off a deflating loss to Yushin Okami. Okami would be able to control Belcher for all three rounds, which frustrated Belcher and forced him to rethink his strategy. Alan has been a sensational talent in the middleweight division, utilizing dynamic kicks and submissions in order to grab notable victories over Rousimar Palhares and Patrick Cote.
Michael Bisping comes into this fight off a head kick KO loss to Vitor Belfort. Before this loss, he was on the title hunt, and it looked like he was finally going to challenge Anderson Silva for the middleweight belt. Now, Bisping has his back against the wall because a loss to Belcher would send him near the bottom of the middleweight rankings.
Both of these fighters have went at it in terms of trash talk in the past. Bisping didn’t believe Belcher was a viable contender in the middleweight division, and this will be put to the test when they square off for the first time.
