UFC 157 kicks off tonight in what should be a compelling title fight between current bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey and the always tenacious Liz Carmouche. Both fighters are looking to make history tonight as this will be the first ever women’s fight inside the UFC.
Rousey burst onto the MMA scene with a background in Judo. She is currently 6-0 in her career, where all of her victories have come by armbar. She will be looking to do the same tonight when she squares off with Liz Carmouche, who is a durable fighter that has competent stand up skills.
Also on the card, Dan Henderson will finally get back inside the octagon and face the elusive Lyoto Machida. Dan has the ability to end the right with one punch, which is usually his right. His wrestling is also word class, so Machida will have to keep his distance and find his timing early if he wants to come out with the victory.
The winner of this bout is expected to face the winner of Jon Jones vs. Chael Sonnen for the light heavyweight championship. Be sure to check out the live results of the event below, and stay tuned to see who will walk away with the woman’s bantamweight championship.
