Uriah Hall Will be the Ultimate Fighter 17
The Ultimate Fighter Season 17 is currently underway and of all the current participants, only one stands out above the rest - Uriah Hall.
Hall has taken the East Coast regional circuit by storm, knocking out or submitting most of his opponents. The New York native holds a mixed martial arts professional record of 7-2. His only loses have come at the hands of Chris Weidman and Costa Philippou.
The 28-year old has outstanding power in both his fists and his legs. During prelim fight No. 2, Hall knocked out fellow ultimate fighter contestant Adam Cella with a hard spinning rear-hook kick to the head. The round was nearly over, when out of nowhere Hall planted his step, spun around, and put Cella to sleep. Cella eventually woke up and was sent to the hospital for a CAT scan.
Hall is the top contender for Knockout of the Season that can put $25,000 in his pocket.
The kick showed the simple, easy power that Team Cheal Sonnen’s No. 1 contender has. The kick to the head was the meanest, sickest and nastiest knockout in the Ultimate Fighter history. Any fighter that steps into the octagon with Hall will have that kick running through their head.
Hall has a selfish and odd personality, which gives him the advantage of not making any friends the TUF house. His ability to train hard and hold nothing back has upset other fighters during training as well, although he states he is just working on winning the whole thing.
When asked why he will become the next Ultimate Fighter champion, Hall stated “because it’s already decided, I just have to act it out.”
