UFC bantamweight, Cat Zingano, has reportedly injured herself in training and will not be able to coach TUF 18 against Ronda Rousey.  Instead, Miesha Tate will take her place.  This news comes from Kevin Iole via Yahoo Sports:

Unbeaten Cat Zingano, who was slated to coach opposite women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, injured a knee and was replaced as coach by long-time Rousey rival Miesha Tate.

This completely took Rousey, who is the UFC bantamweight champion of the world, by surprise and she would even storm off the set once she saw she was going to be coaching against Tate.  Her anger was predicated by the fact that she thought she was being replaced by Tate.  It’s a series of unfortunate events for Zingano, who recently defeated Tate via TKO in the third round, as she will no longer get to coach on TUF.

This season is going to be unprecedented, as not only are men going to tryout but women as well.  Zingano will no longer be able to take part in that history against Rousey who will also have to adjust her preparation.  For Tate, this is huge news, as she will get a chance to redeem herself from the loss suffered to Rousey where she was defeated via armbar in the first round.

She will get to share some spotlight with Rousey in hopes of building her brand even more leading up to the championship bout.  It has been noted that both Tate and Rousey have showed their disdain for each other, and this gives the show another interesting fold that will be fun to see play out throughout the ensuing months.
