UFC on Fox 8 takes place next weekend, which features a stacked card full of exciting fighters. Headlining the event will be a flyweight championship between Demetrious Johnson and John Moraga. Both are very explosive fighters, making this an exciting championship belt. Let’s now take a look at the rest of the main card and make some predictions.

Liz Carmouche vs. Jessica Andrade: Carmouche is coming off an impressive showing against Ronda Rousey. She wasn’t able to get the victory, but she proved she belongs with the elite of the division. She will find her openings against Andrade, where she will be able to land some shots to open up a submission early. Final Prediction: Carmouche wins via submission (rear-naked choke) in the second round.

Robbie Lawler vs. Bobbie Voelker: Lawler is the superior striker in this bout, and he will use his power early and often. Lawler has really worked on his takedown defense over the years, which should allow him to keep this fight standing. Look for him to set up his combinations, rocking Voelker early and then finishing him off with some devastating shots from the top. Final Prediction: Lawler wins via KO in the first round.

Rory MacDonald vs. Jake Ellenberger: Both of these welterweights are very well rounded, which should make for a very competitive fight. Ellenberger holds the power advantage, but MacDonald holds the cardio advantage, and this will benefit him a lot in this match up. MacDonald will weather the early storm from Ellenberger and will get this fight to the ground. He will do enough each round to warrant a decision, using his crisp striking technique and relentless grappling attack. Final Prediction: MacDonald wins via unanimous decision.

Johnson vs. Moraga: This flyweight championship will be entertaining, as both of these fighters are very athletic and explosive. Moraga is a guy that likes to use his power, and he will try to do the same in this bout. However, Johnson has proved to be very hard to hit, where he utilizes good footwork and head movement. Moraga will put up a fight, but Johnson will just be too fast and get takedowns each round to secure the victory. Final Prediction: Johnson wins via unanimous decision.
