UFC Fight Night 28, which features a compelling card in Brazil, kicks off tomorrow night. Headlining the card is a light heavyweight bout between Ryan Bader and Glover Teixeira. Both of these fighters have power in their hands, so this bout could end violently quick. Let’s now take a look at the rest of the card and make some predictions.

Flyweight: Marcos Vinicius vs. Ali Bagautinov: This fight should be a good one, as both are evenly matched. Ali holds the stand up edge in this bout, and he will picks his shots each round to win a decision.

Final Prediction: Ali Bagautinov wins via unanimous decision.

Middleweight: Rafael Natal vs. Tor Troeng: This bout is interesting, as both fighters are really good on the ground. Troeng is the better wrestler in this match up, and he will be able to control Natal from the top without getting submitted.

Final Prediction: Tor Troeng wins via unanimous decision.

Lightweight: Francisco Trinaldo vs. Piotr Hallmann: Trinaldo is better both on the ground and standing in this bout. He will exchange punches, with Piotr rocking him early. From there, he will get the fight to the ground and sink in a quick submission (arm triangle).

Final Prediction: Francisco Trinaldo wins via submission (arm triangle) in round one.

Flyweight: Joseph Benavidez vs. Jussier Formiga: This is an excellent flyweight bout that will more than likely determine the next challenger to fight champion Demetrious Johnson. Formiga is dangerous on the ground, but so is Benavidez. Also, Benavidez’ striking has come a long way thanks to his striking coach Duane Ludwig. Benavidez will prevent Formiga from taking him down. He will time his shots and then land a brutal punch, sending Formiga to the canvas.

Final Prediction: Joseph Benavidez wins via TKO in the second round.

Middleweight: Ronaldo Souza vs. Yushin Okami: Both of these middleweights are elite grapplers, and will be fighting for a chance at a title shot. Souza is one of the best jiu jitsu practitioners in the game right now, which will benefit him greatly in this fight. Okami is a great wrestler and is very strong, but Souza will still be able to impose his will on Okami. Souza will setup his takedown nicely, thanks to his improved stand up. Once he has Okami on the ground, he will go for the kill.

Final Prediction: Ronaldo Souza wins via submission (arm triangle) in the first round.

Light Heavyweight: Ryan Bader vs. Glover Teixeira: Both of these fighters have knockout power in their hands, and each are very good on the ground. However, Glover is the more experienced fighter in this bout, and this will be the x-factor. Glover will use his boxing techniques to force Bader backward, where he will be able to take Bader down. From there, Glover will land some good shots from the top, setting up a submission.

Final Prediction: Glover Teixeira wins via submission (guillotine) in the first round.
