Fabio Maldonado vs. Joey Beltran Is Going To Be A War
I was legitimately frightened when I heard that Fabio Maldonado was going to fight Joey Beltran and with the fight only a couple days away, I am already sweating. What happens when an unstoppable force hits an immovable object? I have no idea, but I can only assume bad things because that is exactly what is going to happen for this fight.
Maldonado is coming off of his first win in the UFC but every time he steps in the Octagon, there has been nothing but fireworks. His fight against Glover Teixeira was one of the most frightening beatdowns I have ever seen, but Maldonado wanted to keep fighting. The guy is a warrior in the truest sense of the word.
Beltran may very well have the best chin in all of MMA. He has only been knocked out by Lavar Johnson, and if it was anyone else who was hit by those punches, they would have been decapitated. Beltran is a serious brawler; he loves to get in there and just throw down. He has recently incorporated some wrestling into his game, which is impressive to see.
Both of these guys really like to use their hands and can take inhuman amounts of punishment. Expect both of these guys to stay in the pocket and not stop swinging until someone goes down; but, seeing as both of these guys have chins made out of some sort of extraterrestrial metal, this fight is going to come down to pure heart.
That is what makes this fight so scary: both of these athletes are extremely tough and can throw heavy leather. It is safe to say that they will both lose some brain cells during the course of their bout. The winner will be determined on who can dig deeper for longer. This is a fight that you will not want to miss.
