UFC Fight Night 30 takes place this Saturday, which features an exciting lightweight bout between Ross Pearson and Melvin Guillard. Both have knockout power in their hands, so this fight could end very quickly. The winner of this bout reestablishes themselves in the division, and the loser may be on the verge of losing their job.

Coming into this bout, Guillard sports an overall record of 31-12-2-1. He is a very experienced striker, and countless times he is able to land a devastating blow, knocking his opponents out in brutal fashion. He will be looking to continue his momentum in this division, and a win over Pearson, who is also a heavy-puncher, would be huge for his career.

Pearson comes into this bout off a two-fight winning streak, where he was able to TKO George Sotiropoulos and Ryan Couture. Pearson is a great boxer and he can knock out any man with one shot, making him a dangerous opponent if the fight remains standing. He will be looking to land one of these power shots on Guillard, and a win would be one of his biggest to date.

This bout has Knockout-Of-The-Night written all over it. Guillard seems to be in the right place mentally, and his takedown defense seems to be improving with each fight. This bodes well for him going up against Pearson, who will probably like to keep the bout standing, as well. An x-factor in this fight will be the conditioning. Will both men be able to keep up a relentless pace for three-straight rounds? Time will tell, but it should be a fun one.
