Tim Kennedy is set to face Rafael Natal in the upcoming UFC Fight For the Troops card. This bout should be a great one for the fans, where the winner has the chance to take a huge leap in the middleweight rankings, especially if they can put on an impressive performance.

Kennedy comes into this bout with an overall record of 16-4. His latest victory was quite nice as he was able to thwart any attacks from the jiu-jitsu wizard Roger Gracie. In the bout, Kennedy prevented Gracie from locking up any submissions, and Kennedy even went to the ground, utilizing his wrestling.

It was his first UFC bout, and he is looking to build off that win against Natal, who is also a very competent jiu-jitsu fighter. Kennedy is a well-rounded fighter who rarely ever gets tired. This bodes well for him going up against Natal, and Kennedy can really take this fight anywhere he wants.

Natal comes into this bout with an overall record of 17-4-1. His latest win was against Tor Troeng, a win that showcased his excellent grappling game and an ability to get the fight to the ground. He was able to get the unanimous decision, and a win over Kennedy would be a huge feather in his cap. Natal will need to get this fight to the ground in hopes of locking up a submission against Kennedy. This is his clearest path to victory.

Both fighters have the chance to continue their momentum in the middleweight division, which is currently being reigned over by Chris Weidman.
