UFC: Fight For The Troops 3 featured an important women’s bantamweight bout between Amanda Nunes and Germaine de Randamie. This was the first fight on the Fox Sports 1 channel, and they delivered an exciting fight to kick off the prelims.

Nunes got the TKO finish early in the first round, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. She is now 9-3 in her fighting career and she is going to be hard to stop, especially if she continues to develop as a fighter. In this bout, Nunes looked very comfortable on the feet and once the fight hit the mat, it was all her.

This win will shoot her up the bantamweight rankings, where she has the chance to fight for the title if she can keep up her winning ways. Nunes is a strong, capable wrestler and she has great power on the ground. Whoever Nunes faces next will have their hands full.

A great opponent for Nunes would be the winner of the Liz Carmouche vs. Alexis Davis bout, which also takes place on the same card. Both Carmouche and Davis have a lot of experience under their belt, so they would be a great test for Nunes. She deserves much credit for the skills she showed in the impressive victory, and she is certainly making waves in the bantamweight division, where Ronda Rousey is the current champion.
