Joe Warren was facing a scrappy veteran in Travis Marx at Bellator 107. The winner of this bout was moving on in the bantamweight tournament, where Eduardo Dantas is the current champ. Warren was able to dominate Marx from start to finish. Warren is known as a relentless fighter who has world-class wrestling, and it was clear from the very start that he was the superior fighter.

Warren was able to land a knee in the second round which sent Marx to the canvas for the TKO. Now, Warren moves on in the bantamweight tournament, and he will be fighting the winner of the Dantas vs. Rafael Silva.

This fight was exciting from start to finish and Warren lived up to his nickname as “The Most Baddest Man On The Planet”. Training with Greg Jackson seems to be working well with him as he has been able to refine his striking, and he is improving as an MMA wrestler.

If he can continue to make strides in his technique, then it’s only a matter of time before he’s a Bellator champion again. For Marx, he will have to go back to the drawing board and work on his takedown defense, especially if he hopes to regain his status in the Bellator lightweight tournament. Warren proved tonight that he is an improved striker with finishing abilities, putting the bantamweight division on notice.
