Donald Cerrone and Evan Dunham are set to go to war, which happens at UFC 167. Both lightweights are looking to get a win under their belt, and it’s a must-win fight for both. It should be an excellent bout, as both have a history of putting on exciting fights for the fans.

Cerrone is coming off a poor performance between Rafael Dos Anjos, in which he wasn’t really able to get his timing and striking down. The loss set Cerrone back a lot, and he will need to revamp his training, especially if he ever wants to get in the title mix again. When Cerrone is on his A-Game, he is a devastating striker. He’s got great kicks, and is really fluid when the fight hits the mat. He will need to bring out the aggressive striker, like the fight he had with Melvin Guillard, in hopes of beating Dunham.

Dunham comes into this bout also off a loss to Dos Anjos. In the bout, he was outpointed on the feet. Dunham is one of the bigger lightweights in the division, and he’s also very well-rounded. If he wants to come out the victor against Cerrone, he will need to implement his strategy early, forcing Cerrone into scrambles and exchanges on the feet.

Both fighters are in need of a win, as a two-fight losing streak would surely prevent them from challenging for a title any time soon. It should be a great fight, since both will be fighting with a sense of desperation.
