Tonight, Julianna Pena and Jessica Racozky battled it out for a UFC contract. It was an entertaining battle from start to finish. Early in the fight, Pena dragged Jessica to the ground. From there, it was pretty much all Pena. Minute after minute, she landed some brutal ground-and-pound.

Jessica was unable to escape the position, and the ref was forced to step in with just seconds left in the first round. Pena is now the first ever TUF women’s champion, and she looked dominant from start to finish. She brought her record to 5-2, and she now has a UFC contract. Coming into this fight, it was well known that Pena was the better grappler.

The only question was if Jessica would be able to avoid the takedowns in hopes of landing some shots on the feet. She wasn’t, and Pena showcased some big shots from the mount position. It was an amazing performance. She seemed very hungry coming into this fight, and it was apparent she was on a mission against Jessica.

Props to Rakoczy for making it this far in the tournament, but she still has a ways to go, especially if she wants to compete with the best of them in the UFC. Pena will be a great addition to the women’s bantamweight division, which is currently being dominated by Ronda Rousey.
