An excellent heavyweight bout is set to go down this weekend between Antonio Silva and Mark Hunt. Both heavyweights are coming off losses, so their will to win will be at all-time highs as they hope to prove they still have what it takes to be an elite heavyweight in the UFC.

Silva comes into this heavyweight clash off a demoralizing loss to Cain Velasquez. Up for grabs was the UFC heavyweight belt, but Cain proved to be too much for Silva both on the ground and standing. The bout was stopped in the first round by way of TKO. Silva is a powerful puncher who has exceptional jiu-jitsu skills. He’s also a huge heavyweight and he will be looking to impose his will on Hunt when they square off.

Hunt is also coming into this fight off a loss, which came against Junior Dos Santos. In his TKO loss, Hunt showed great heart, but he was unable to avoid a spinning back kick which landed flush on his head. Hunt then suffered a severe staph infection, preventing him from competing. Now, he looks to rebound off this loss in hopes of earning his way back up to a title shot. Before the JDS loss, Hunt strung together four straight wins, which was a surprising turnaround for his career.

Both of these heavyweights are known for standing and throwing heavy leather, so this fight should be exciting from the opening bell. A win for either fighter would be huge for their career, and a loss may spell the end of their title dreams once and for all.
