UFC: Joe Ellenberger Added To Lightweight Roster
The UFC has added another exciting fighter to their roster, signing Joe Ellenberger, twin brother of UFC welterweight Jake Ellenberger. This is a huge opportunity for him as he will finally get to compete on the biggest stage in MMA. This news was confirmed by Ellenberger himself on Twitter.
Ellenberger will make his UFC debut at age 28 and sports an overall record of 14-1. He’s fought some tough opponents and he’s a really experienced fighter making his UFC debut. He will join the ranks in the lightweight division, which is currently being reigned by Anthony Pettis. The deal he signed is a four-fight deal, and he’s going to be looking to make a run at the title and build his brand like never before inside the UFC.
Just like his brother Jake, Joe has a lot of power in his hands, and his eight KO/TKO wins are a testament to this. His lone loss came to the hands of Justin Salas. Since that loss, he was won two straight, each by way of finish. He’s going to be an exciting lightweight prospect, and it’s going to be interesting to see who the UFC matches him up with for his debut in the organization.
One thing is for sure: he’s going to be fighting with intensity for his first fight as he wants to make a good first impression inside the Octagon.
