An exciting bantamweight bout takes place next week at UFC Fight Night between T.J. Dillashaw and Mike Easton. Both of these fighters have a chance to make a name in the division, and an impressive win could get them one step closer to a title shot where Renan Barao is the champion.

Dillashaw comes into this bout off a narrow loss to Raphael Assuncao. He ended up losing a split decision, one that he believes he won (as well as many others). He’s going to be looking to make a statement against Easton, so we should see a very motivated Dillashaw come fight night. A win over Easton would be huge for his career and would get Dillashaw back on the right track to fight for the belt.

Easton comes into this fight needing a win. He is currently on a two-fight losing streak, and his losses have come against Brad Pickett and Assuncao. He needs a win here to save his job with the UFC, so he will also be fighting with a sense of urgency. Easton is a very strong bantamweight, and his striking has come a long way. He will need to force the tempo against Dillashaw, especially if he wants to make a statement.

It should be a fun one for the fans, and it’s more than likely not going the distance whether the fight is finished on the feet or on the ground. A win would be great for either fighter’s career, and they will be looking to set the pace early.
