One of the most inspirational stories in MMA this year has centered around Nick Newell, who has been able to go undefeated in his career thus far, sporting a perfect 11-0 record. He is 2-0 under the World Series Of Fighting banner, and it appears that he’s going to be fighting for the lightweight title against Justin Gaethje.

This news was confirmed by Ali Abdelaziz, the matchmaker for the organization. This is a huge opportunity for Newell, who will finally look to seize his dreams of being a champion. Newell was born with a congenital amputation. Despite having this condition, he’s been able to prove the naysayers wrong and keep his unbeaten record alive.

Newell has faced a lot of criticism in his life. People felt he couldn’t have success in MMA because of his birth defect. They felt it was a disadvantage to him, but Newell doesn’t let the critics dictate his success. He’s one of the most motivated fighters in the sport, and his technique and skill are something to behold. He’s got some crisp striking, and when he gets the fight into the clinch position, it’s all downhill for his opponent. More often than not, he’s able to lock up a guillotine, a move that Newell has mastered to perfection over the years.

People should stop counting out Newell because he’s a very gifted fighter. The sky’s the limit for him, and it’s amazing to see what kind of success he’s had in his fighting career. He’s going to be fighting Gaethje in one of the biggest and most important fights of his life, and it should be a true treat for the fans.
