An amazing lightweight bout has been added to UFC on Fox 11 between Donald Cerrone and Edson Barboza. This bout is going to be an amazing display of striking skills from two fighters who are content to stand and trade. Not only does this bout have Fight-Of-The-Night written all over it, the winner could make a huge statement in the division.

Barboza is a competent striker, and he’s got some of the best leg kicks in the business. Cerrone also has some great leg kicks, and his punching power has been on full display in his recent fights. Cerrone looks to have found his fire back, and this will come in handy going up against Barboza. In Cerrone’s last fight, against Adriano Martins, Cerrone was able to uncork a beautifully timed head kick, which ended Martins’ night in dramatic fashion. It was one of the most impressive finishes in Cerrone’s career, and he’s looking to add Barboza to his highlight reel.

Barboza is a very elite striker, but he may have trouble with Cerrone’s ground game, if it gets to that point. Cerrone is a competent jiu jitsu black belt, and he’s got some great triangles. This may be the deciding factor in the fight, and it’s going to be fun to see what kind of Cerrone comes out on fight night. Now that Cerrone has found his fire back, and he’s not simply going through the motions, he has a great shot at defeating Barboza, which would be a huge win for him.
