Khabib Nurmagomedov UFC

Tom Szczerbowski-USA TODAY Sports

Khabib Nurmagomedov has been one of the hottest prospect in the UFC as of late. He’s is on an amazing 21-fight winning streak, and he’s 5-0 in the UFC. He’s been so dominant that few fighters have offered to fight him, which makes sense because Nurmagomedov is a bad stylistic matchup for anyone.

He’s one of the best wrestlers in the division, so he could more than likely take any fighter down and dominate them on the ground. It appears he’s finally found an opponent willing to take the risk, which is none other than Rafael dos Anjos. This lightweight bout has been booked for the UFC on Fox 11 card. Now that Nurmagomedov finally has an opponent, he can focus his training in hopes of getting another win under his belt.

Dos Anjos will be a great test for Nurmagomedov as he is one of the most experienced fighters in the lightweight division and also very well rounded. He’s got a great striking and a strong jiu-jitsu game, and Nurmagomedov will be looking to steamroll him in hopes of getting a title shot. Nurmagomedov is coming off a dominant win over Pat Healy. In the win, he controlled Healy with his striking and wrestling, and he will be looking to do the same against dos Anjos.

Nurmagomedov has all of the talent in the world to become champ. He just needs one more signature win, and he could get it against dos Anjos, who will be looking to test him in every area of MMA.

Dana White Doesn’t Think Conor McGregor Can Beat Rafael dos Anjos

Things are getting interesting ahead of UFC 196. The headlining fight at that March 5 pay-per-view event will see UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor move up to lightweight to face the champion of that division Rafael dos Anjos. If McGregor succeeds he will become the first UFC fighter to hold belts in two different divisions simultaneously. The oddsmakers have McGregor as the favorite ahead of the fight. UFC president Dana White doesn’t necessarily hold the same opinion.

Ronda Rousey’s Mom Predicted Holly Holm Would Knock Her Out

Dr. AnnMaria De Mars is the first woman ever to win a gold medal at the World Judo Championship doing so in 1984. She is also the mother of former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. Further she may be the most vocal critic of Rousey’s coach Edmond Tarverdyan. Appearing on Submission Radio De Mars once again spoke out on Tarverdyan commenting on Rousey’s loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193. “I predicted it in advance Ronda trained with an idiot and a fraud” said De Mars.
