Thiago Silva Arrested In Florida; Will Never Fight In The UFC Again
A shocking story broke out last night in Miami, Florida, as it was revealed that professional MMA fighter Thiago Silva was in a standoff with the SWAT team outside his house. Reports indicate that Silva had gone to a Brazilian jiu-jitsu academy owned by Pablo Popovitch with a gun, shouting and looking for his wife Thaysa Silva.
Apparently, he was angry about her infidelities with Popovitch and wanted to confront him in the worst way possible. He then took the matters to his home, where he engaged in a standoff with a SWAT team.
Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident, including his wife, but things don’t look good for Silva at this point. He is going to face some serious accounts of assault, and he’s going to be detained in jail until further notice. Silva was scheduled to face Ovince St. Preux on the March 15 card, but this fight is long gone.
In fact, Dana White and the UFC made an official statement saying that Silva would never be allowed to fight in the UFC again. This is devastating news for Silva, who was looking to put some wins together in hopes of making a name for himself in the light heavyweight division. Now he’s going to have to face some legal matters and quite honestly, he might never be the same after this incident.
