Irish fighters always fight for pride and leave it all on the line in their fights. This is always the case with Conor McGregor, a rising star in the UFC‘s featherweight division. McGregor has lived up to the hype so far. Since joining the UFC, he’s beaten Marcus Brimage and Max Holloway. He didn’t struggle with any of these opponents, but after his Holloway bout, he suffered an injury that is keeping him from being active.

Now, it appears he’s on the mend and he’s expected to fight on the Dublin, Ireland card. But who would McGregor face? One possible opponent is against Cole Miller, who has been campaigning to get a fight with McGregor for talking trash to his American Top Team teammates. Miller has always spoken his mind and wears his heart on his sleeve, and he doesn’t believe McGregor has been tested at all since joining the UFC.

A McGregor-Miller bout makes the most since right now given that both are recovering from injuries. The storyline is already there in terms of trash talk. Miller would be McGregor’s biggest test to date in his career, and one has to wonder how McGregor would deal with Miller’s ground game.

Miller, a technical fighter who uses his reach very well, is dominant on the ground. He has a high finish rate in terms of submissions, so it would be a true test for McGregor, one that will determine if he is a championship-caliber fighter. The fight hasn’t been officially announced, but hopefully the UFC can make it happen because it would be fun to see both fighters back up all of their trash talk.
