The Ultimate Fighter Brazil: Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva Bickering Like Brats

It’s a case of sandbox politics as The Ultimate Fighter Brazil coaches Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva both pout in their respective corners of the playpen. Whether it’s another staged reality TV scenario or actual drama unfolding between the two tough guys is irrelevant. Although it is most likely the former, the fun part is watching two world-class competitors bicker back and forth like an old married couple fighting over who gets to hold the remote control.

Sonnen had originally asked Anderson Silva to coach his opposing team for the Brazil-based chapter of the highly successful reality show. As the Spider is currently undergoing rehabilitation for a broken leg suffered in last year’s championship fight, he declined and the honors were bestowed upon Wanderlei, also a native of Brazil.

Wanderlei somehow decided to insert himself into the long fizzled-out drama between Sonnen and Andy – stating that he demands an apology for comments Sonnen made about the country’s inhabitants.

At present, the situation has come to a head as “behind the scenes” footage shows Wandy taunting Sonnen, waving his finger in his face and muttering, “I don’t like you … just wait and see what I am going to do to you!” Brief cuts of the two getting into a shoving match like a couple of teenagers at a bus stop are flashed quickly and then silenced.

The tension is being ramped up between the two veterans, poised to culminate in a crescendo of ratings and ravings as the two are set to duke it out after the season finale. If all this petty strife and baseless conflict is indeed real and not a ruse, perhaps they should just settle the matter with a dirt clod fight.
