MMA fans have little to complain about this April with the sport’s largest promotion set to close its most action-packed month this year with three more prolific cards over the next two weeks. Jon Jones’ seventh title defense has garnered much of the attention as well as the main event battles at the TUF: Nations Finale and UFC on FOX on Saturday, but here are 10 non-main event fighters to keep an eye on this month.

Despite being only 24, Jordan Mein has a wealth of experience in the cage with a professional record of 27-9 and will return to the Octagon for the first time since his Fight of the Night loss to Matt Brown last April. Mein looks to have turned a corner of late, going 8-2 in his last 10 bouts, losing only to Brown and top contender Tyron Woodley in a tightly contested split decision.

8. Dustin Poirier

After suffering a heartbreaking loss to the surging Cub Swanson, Dustin Poirier has reeled off two impressive victories, earning a hard fought decision victory over Erik Koch followed by a ruthless KO of Diego Brandao. At only 25 years of age, Poirier is really coming in to his own and will look to cement his place near the top of the featherweight rankings with this fight.

Coming off the most impressive performance of his UFC career, Bobby Green will look to keep the ball rolling when he meets veteran Jim Miller at UFC 172 in Baltimore. The electric Bobby “King” Green has looked outstanding in recent outings, stopping Jacob Volkmann and James Krause before putting on a boxing clinic against Pat Healy. He will look to continue his climb up the UFC lightweight ladder.

Ultimate Fighter Season 11 alum Brad Tavares has quietly put together an impressive five-fight win streak in the UFC middleweight division coming into his bout against Yoel Romero. The native Hawaiian is coming off of a three-round decision victory over the dangerous Lorenz Larkin and will look to use his ever improving skills to corral another hard-hitting opponent in Romero this Saturday.

4. Miesha Tate

It is always interesting to see how a fighter will rebound after a loss in a title bout. Miesha Tate is no stranger to the situation, but with the attention cast upon her battle against current UFC Women’s Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and the fact that she was coming off of a loss to Cat Zingano going into the Rousey fight, it was entirely different experience. Not to mention, her next opponent Liz Carmouche is no pushover.

2. Rafael Dos Anjos

There’s a lot of noise being made about the lightweight talent stacking this Saturday's UFC on FOX: Werdum vs Browne card, but not enough is being made about Rafael Dos Anjos. A 13-fight veteran of the UFC, Dos Anjos has truly put all the pieces of his dangerous game together of late, and has looked very impressive riding the momentum of a five-fight win streak into his bout against highly-touted Russian Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Joseph Benavidez is in an awkward position. It is hard to ask Benavidez to further prove his position as the perennial No. 2 flyweight in the world, but will that be enough for the two-time title challenger? After a crushing knockout loss to Demetrious Johnson in his last bout, it will be interesting to see how "Joe-B Wan" responds to such a definitive defeat.
