UFC on Fox 12 hit the national airwaves from San Jose, California on Saturday night. As is the case with most UFC cards these days, Fight Night on Fox was solid from top to bottom.
Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown did battle in the main event for a chance to fight welterweight champion Johny Hendricks. With a shot at the gold on the line, the big fight feel was certainly there. Lawler controlled most of the fight, but Brown certainly gave a top-notch effort. In the end it was ‘Ruthless’ coming out on top via a unanimous decision, in what was definitely the fight of the night.
But the show-stealing moment of the evening came when Anthony Johnson knocked Rogerio Nogueira out early in the first round of the their light heavyweight fight with a barrage of uppercuts:
.@Anthony_Rumble registers his 4th KO from strikes in under a minute, a new record. Belfort, Swick, & Hendricks each have 3 such finishes.

Johnson exploded on Nogueria to put his stamp on UFC on FOX 12, and at the same time, the light heavyweight division. He’ll no doubt be in line for a title shot in the very near future as well.
