Chad Mendes and Conor McGregor have recently gone back and forth with trash talking each other, so a feud between the two already exists. Mendes just came the closest to dethroning dominant champion Jose Aldo. With his newly developed striking and his world-class wrestling. he may be too powerful for McGregor, and with a potential bout in the making, Mendes could stop the hype train.

Despite McGregor's claims that he's No. 1 contender to Aldo's featherweight championship, Swanson will insist that he deserves to be the next challenger. Swanson is currently on a tear, racking up a six-fight win streak over many top contenders. He's one of the best strikers in the division, and his newly found tenacity could prove too much for McGregor.

Anthony Pettis, the current UFC lightweight champion, has the the widest range of skills in MMA today, displaying a form of martial arts no one's seen before. Despite being a weight class heavier, he could eventually face McGregor due to the fact that McGregor is confident he can dominate the featherweight division and consequently move up a class. Pettis could have too much in his arsenal for McGregor to handle.

Frankie Edgar, the former UFC lightweight champion, has been described as MMA's 'Rocky' due to his pure heart and desire to prevail from difficult situations in the cage and still gain a victory. Edgar is ranked among the top five UFC featherweights with McGregor, so the pair could soon meet.
