Floyd Mayweather Jr., Conor McGregor Reportedly On Verge Of Announcing Multi-Million Dollar Boxing Match

According to British news outlet The Sun, Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Conor McGregor are in the final stages of a multi-million dollar deal for a boxing match. The report also states that Mayweather would receive a $144 million purse while McGregor would only get $10 million.

We’ll have to wait to see how accurate this report is, but the match would seem like a longshot considering McGregor is still under contract with the UFC. It would be tough to see UFC president Dana White approving this type of fight, no matter how monumental the occasion would be.

As a fan, there’s no question that I would buy this on pay-per-view if it comes to fruition. Featuring two of the best fighters, and trash-talkers, in the world squaring off inside the boxing ring, it would likely be billed as the greatest fight of the century and would be a must-see event for fight fans everywhere.

In a perfect world, this fight would be allowed to happen, but this world is far from perfect, unfortunately.
