Max Holloway Unifies UFC Featherweight Belt – Says Conor McGregor Can 'Beg to Me Fight Now'

By Anthony Blake

With a punishing TKO of Jose Aldo now under his belt, Max Holloway has unified the UFC featherweight title belt and become the fixture atop the division sans Conor McGregor.

Here’s a look at his beatdown of Aldo.

And after the fight, Holloway emphasized his desire to defend his title as many times as possible and become a truly deserving champion.

According to MMA Fighting, Holloway offered these thoughts on McGregor as well:

“This guy’s over here always trying to look for the bigger thing and that’s him. Good for him. I ain’t going to chase someone around. I ain’t going to talk about someone that ain’t talking about me. He gets to choose his fights. Why am I going to cry and beg him to fight me? Get the hell out of here with that sh*t. He can beg to fight me now.

I’m coming to that point now where people’s going to start asking me to fight. I ain’t asking no one to fight. I’ve got my throne. If you want it, come see me.”

Sounds like McGregor’s only payday potential rests outside of UFC at this point, with the pending Floyd Mayweather megafight still hanging in the balance.

And UFC doesn’t need him now, given Holloway’s bravado.
