Through all the grandstanding and blowhard promotional fanfare, it seems as if the Floyd Mayweather – Conor McGregor bout the fighting world has been waiting for is nearly set in stone.
This latest news that Mayweather Promotions plans to request the date of Aug. 26 from the Nevada State Athletic Commission has been a long time coming.
Mayweather will exit a 23-month retirement for his 50th career fight, whereas McGregor just recently applied for his boxing license in the state of Nevada and has yet to hear back.
Regardless of the surrounding circumstances, the date the public has anticipated for months now seems to have finally arrived.
