Biography Cordy Glenn Left Tackle Georgia #71 Senior

Pros

Physical Ability: Cordy Glenn has outstanding physical ability.

Durability: Glenn rarely gets injured.

Size: Glenn displays massive size for a blocker at 6 foot 5 348 pounds.

Learning Rate: Glenn has a great learning rate.  Glenn learns new blocking schemes after a few games.

Intangibles: Cordy Glenn has great, but not elite pro bowl caliber intangibles at this point.

Run Blocker: Glenn is a mammoth run blocker opening up running lanes.

Can Play Left Tackle: Glenn lined up at left tackle during his senior year.

Can Play Right Tackle: Glenn is best used as a run blocker so he should play right tackle.

Can Play Left Guard: Glenn can move inside to left guard.  Glenn has the experience to start at left guard.

Can Play Right Guard: Glenn has started a few games at right guard.

Production: Glenn provides great production.  Glenn will not provide pro bowl caliber production.  Glenn should be productive enough to get the job done.

Potential: Glenn has pro bowl potential.  He probably will need a year of starting experience in the NFL before he reaches it though.

Cons

Football IQ: I feel like Glenn’s football IQ could improve.  Glenn is sharp.  He needs to grasp a better understanding for the game at this point.

Awareness: Glenn needs to do a better job recognizing defenders off the snap.

Pass Blocking: Glenn’s pass blocking needs to improve.

Zone Blocking: Glenn needs to improve his zone blocking ability.

Pass Blocking Footwork: Glenn has really sloppy pass blocking footwork when moving his feet.

Run Blocking Footwork: Glenn’s run blocking footwork needs to improve as well.

Work Ethic: I feel like Glenn lacks the work ethic to start at offensive tackle.  He will probably kick inside to guard.

My thoughts on Cordy Glenn

Cordy Glenn could be a physical guard in the proper situation.  Cordy Glenn will probably fail to maximize his immense potential if he is placed in the wrong blocking scheme or if he is forced into an offensive tackle role.

Glenn could thrive in the proper situation.  At the same time there is a lot of development that will be essential if your team plans on molding Glenn into a pro bowl offensive lineman.
