I’ve done 2 round MLS Mock Drafts before.  This mock will be 1 round though.  Tomorrow I plan on releasing a 2013 MLS Mock Draft Debut that could feature 10 potential Generation Adidas Players just like this one in a while when 2013 rolls around.

1. Montreal Impact Andrew Wenger Defenseman Duke Junior Darren Mattocks is going to turn down the MLS to play in Europe.  Well at least that’s what his agent is saying.  Wenger played forward at Duke in 2011 even though center back is his more natural position.  Some people had Wenger graded higher than Mattocks as the top MLS draft prospect.  Wenger should be the pick here now in the event that Mattocks does not sign a Generation Adidas deal.

2. Vancouver Whitecaps Kelyn Rowe Midfielder UCLA Sophomore Rowe has great team chemistry with Omar Salgado from the US prep teams.  Rowe makes almost too much sense for Vancouver if Wenger is off of the board.

3. New England Revolution Enzo Martinez Midfielder North Carolina Junior North Carolina midfielder Enzo Martinez has performed better than Kelyn Rowe.  New England is one team that is a huge fan of Enzo Martinez.  Martinez had 10 goals as a sophomore.  In 2011 as a junior Martinez scored 9 goals and 10 assists.

4. Toronto FC Billy Schuler Forward North Carolina Junior Redshirt Toronto wants to add a forward for depth.  Schuler is the best forward in this draft if Mattocks decides to play in Europe.

5. Chivas USA Luis Silva Midfielder UC Santa Barbara Senior Silva had 17 goals and 10 assists in 2011.  Silva could be the only senior to get drafted in the top 5.

6. San Jose Earthquakes Nick DeLeon Midfielder Louisville Senior Nick DeLeon has the versatility to play forward, midfield, or defense.

7. DC United Taylor Kemp Defenseman Maryland Junior Taylor Kemp could be the top left back if he declares as a junior signing a Generation Adidas deal.  DC United needs a left back.

8. Portland Timbers Matt Hedges Defenseman North Carolina Senior Matt Hedges is the top senior prospect at center back.

9. Chicago Fire Brian “Cobi” Span Midfielder Virginia Sophomore Span could be a top 10 pick if he comes out as a sophomore.  Span could compete for the #1 pick if he returns to school as a junior.

10. Columbus Crew Aaron Maund Defenseman Notre Dame Senior A senior center back will get pushed into the top ten.  I think that player could be Notre Dame defender Aaron Maund.

11. FC Dallas Casey Townsend Forward Maryland Senior Casey Townsend has been a highly touted player ever since he signed withMaryland.  Townsend is not making it past #11.

12. Toronto FC from New York Red Bulls Austin Berry Defenseman Louisiville Senior Berry was my #1 overall pick in my inaugural MLS Mock Draft.  A poor season causes Berry to slip to this pick.

13. Philadelphia Union Tommy Meyer Defenseman Indiana Senior Tommy Meyer was the center back for the Indiana Hoosiers.  Meyer would make a great addition to the Union here.

14. Colorado Rapids Chris Estridge Defenseman Indiana Senior Estridge is an amazing left back for the Hoosiers.  Estridge would make a good late first rounder here.

15. Seattle Sounders Hunter Jumper Defenseman Virginia Senior Seattle adds a left back to their defensive backfield with this selection.

16. Sporting Kansas City Brian Rowe Goalie UCLA Senior Prediction, Brian Rowe blows up the MLS Combine and becomes the top goalie selected.

17. Real Salt Lake Chandler Hoffman Forward UCLA Junior Hoffman is a steal if he falls this far in the MLS Super Draft.  Hoffman has been fabulous for the UCLA Bruins in 2011.

18. Houston Dynamo Ben Speas Forward North Carolina Junior Speas was a 2 year starter at Akron before transferring to North Carolina.  Speas scored 2 game winning goals against UCLA and Charlotte.  It may sounds farfetched, but I believe Speas could receive a Generation Adidas Deal.

19. Los Angeles Galaxy Dom Dwyer Forward South Florida Junior Dom Dwyer had 16 goals for South Florida.  The Galaxy should draft Dwyer for the future if he slips this far.
