New York Jets Offseason Outlook

The New York Jets have spent most of their cap room.  The New York Jets really failed to live up to expectations in 2012 after losing two consecutive AFC Championships to the Indianapolis Colts and the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Rex Ryan guaranteed a Super Bowl for the New York Jets.  The Jets did not even make the postseason which really makes you wonder what went wrong.

The New York Jets were hot and cold throughout the regular season in terms of wins in losses.  The Jets start 2-0 with two home wins against Dallas and Jacksonville.  New York then goes on to lose 3 straight road contests to Oakland, Baltimore, and New England.  The media is starting to hassle the Jets about Ryan's comments.

Ryan responds by motivating the New York Jets to two vital home wins against the Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers putting the team at 4-3 before the bye week.  The Jets defeat the Bills putting themselves at 5-3.

Ryan hits another roadblock with a Sunday Night Smackdown at the hands of the New England Patriots before losing the Thursday Night contest to Denver putting the team back at .500 for the 3rd time on the season.

THe Jets would muster 3 more wins against the Buffalo Bills, Washington Redskins, and Kansas City Chiefs putting them at 8-5 with 3 weeks left to play.  The Jets would end the season losing 3 straight games to Philadelphia, the New York Giants, and the Miami Dolphins after practically controlling their own destiny late in the season.
