P.K. Subban Gets Fined $2,500
Montreal Canadiens young sensation P.K. Subban was fined $2,500 today for his trip on Pittsburgh Penguins forward Chris Kunitz. This is the maximum fine a player can get under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
This incident happened at the end of the third period. The referees did not call a penalty on the play.
Subban was not the only player to be fined $2,500′s in the last 48 hours. Winnipeg Jets forward Nik Antropov was fined for boarding Buffalo Sabres defenseman T.J. Brennan on Friday.
All fine money is sent to the Player’s Emergency Assistance Fund.
