Kyle Busch is looking to get his Kyle Busch Motorsports NASCAR Nationwide team to the level he was used too. What a better place to do it then Las Vegas Motor Speedway, his home track. So far though, he has been anything but at Home here. After hitting the wall in turn 4 Kyle Busch will be using a backup car for the Sprint Cup race on Sunday. That is the least of his worries.
Kyle Bush qualified his No. 54 Monster Energy Toyota Camry 20th for Saturday’s Nationwide race. During practice he was 9th and 15th during the first and second practice sessions. Normally a driver of Kyle’s capabilities would pick up throughout the week end. In this case he is going nowhere but backward. This could make for a long day in front of his home town crowd in his new Nationwide team. When asked if he prepares for this race any differently Kyle Said “Not really. It’s like any other race weekend in terms of preparation with the team. Cool thing here is that I know the city and I still have friends in the area, so it’s nice to give them the opportunity to come out and see us race. ”
Kyle Busch will be a driver to watch in this afternoon’s race. Watch the race at 5 PM ET on ESPN2. Follow me during the race @brian_jr1.
