Danica Patrick May Have To Qualify In Cup

As if her nationwide series troubles weren’t enough, Danica Patrick might have to add another worry to her list, Cup qualifying.

Stewart-Haas Racing runs the No. 10 car that is owned by Tommy Baldwin for the ten-cup races she’s scheduled to run. Since Patrick’s last cup race in Daytona, David Reuitmann has taken over but things haven’t gone so smooth.

Since the Daytona 500 the No. 10 car has fallen out of the top 35 in owner point standings. Heading into Fontana the car stands in 36th. If the car doesn’t get better within the standings until Darlington, Patrick’s next race, she will have to qualify on time.

This weekend at Fontana could be the help that the No. 10 needs with just a few points out of the top 35.
