Jimmie Johnson continues his winning ways, along with his new celebratory ways.
Johnson’s latest victory came at the Monster Mile in Dover on Sunday where he dominated most of the race. Along with his latest victory Johnson even continued bringing new tricks to victory lane.
To celebrate his victory in Dover, Johnson wore a rainbow colored wig to victory lane. The wig was a representation of the movie Madagascar 3, which was on Johnson’s car for the weekend. In the victory lane interview Johnson said that the wig plays a major part in the movie and that he could not resist wearing it after grabbing the checkered flag.
The No. 48 pit crew joined Johnson in sporting the wig in pit road and in victory lane. The team couldn’t resist putting the rainbow colored wig on Miles the Monster, their victory trophy.
Johnson has been bringing a new form of celebration lately since his win at Darlington. Back in Darlington Johnson captured Hendrick Motorsports 200th win and in order to celebrate, Johnson took owner Rick Hendrick for a ride. Johnson took Hendrick around the track at Charlotte to wave at fans and celebrate the victory while hanging out of the car with one leg inside.
Johnson is on a quest for his sixth championship, which he call six pack. He’s been celebrating two cup wins and an All Star race win, wonder how he would celebrate if championship number six came along.
