David Reutimann Will Replace Kurt Busch At Pocono
David Reutimann will be replacing Kurt Busch this upcoming weekend at Pocono Raceway.
James FInch car owner of the No.51 Chevy has chosen Reutimann to replace a suspended Busch with permission form Tommy Baldwin Racing, as reported earlier Tuesday by ESPN. Reutimann normally drives the No.10 car when Danica Patrick does not race in the Sprint Cup Series. Dave Blaney will be taking Reutimann’s place in the No.10 car.
Busch will but completely out of action due to the off week from the Nationwide Series. Busch’s future with Phoenix Racing will be determined within the following week. Busch can not return to the cup series until the following week at Michigan. His probation has also been extended until December 31st.
Reutimann formally ran with Michael Waltrip Racing until the end of the 2011 season when he was released from his contract. In the 2012 season opener, the Daytona 500 Reutimann ran for the newly formed BK Racing. The Following week he ran in the No.10 car for Tommy Baldwin Racing in a partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing in order to keep the No.10 car within the top 35 for Patrick to race in cup.
Reutimann ran in the No.10 car at Dover after Patrick’s last two cup races.
