Travis Pastrana Returns To The Nationwide Series

Travis Pastrana is ready to make his return to the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

The extreme sports star is making his second go around in the Nationwide Series when he returns at New Hampshire. Pastrana will be making his return in the Michael Waltrip Racing and RAB Racing No.99 Toyota Camry. It will be his fifth Nationwide Series start on Saturday and it is his first race since his last start at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

This season Pastrana is racing in a partial Nationwide Series schedule. His 2012 schedule consists of eight races, New Hampshire begins the second half of the eight races.

Pastrana began his Nationwide Season at Richmond where he qualified 25th. His best starting position was at Iowa, where he started 15th. In his past four races his best finish came in his second Nationwide race with a 17th place finish at Darlington. Pastrana’s average finish is 22.25.

Pastrana is currently racing a eight race 2012 Nationwide Series season. During his time off from the Nationwide Series he also races in the NASCAR K&N Series. His best finish in the K&N series came at Iowa where he finished fourth.

Recently Pastrana also took part in the 2012 X-Games in Los Angeles in the Rally Cross competition. He was also guest commentary at the X-Games for the best trick competition.

Pastrana’s 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Series concludes at Atlanta on September 1st.
