Pocono Raceway President Brandon Igdalsky Will Giveaway $100K At The Pennsylvania 400 If His Pick Wins

Pocono Raceway president and CEO Brandon Igdalsky might have made the upcoming Pennsylvania 400 much more exciting for the fans.

Igdalsky is making what he calls his 2012 Presidential pick for the last NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Pocono. For his 2012 Presidential Igdalsky is involving the fans in his prediction on who will win at the Tricky Triangle.

Heading into the weekend Igdalsky has pledged to give a lucky fan $100,000 if his pick, Dale Earnhardt Jr. wins the Pennsylvania 400. Igdalsky says that the idea came up while he has been watching the Presidential races in the country.

“While watching the 2012 Presidential races, I decided it was time to make a campaign pledge of my own,” said Igdalsky in a release on the track’s webpage. “My campaign strategy is simple. Pick a driver with a legitimate shot of winning the Pennsylvania 400 and give $100,000 to a race fan if he wins!”

Igdalsky also mentions that the race would not be possible without the NASCAR fans that visit the track for the races every year.

“The fans visiting Pocono Raceway each year are the greatest fans in all of motorsports. Without them, nothing we do would be possible. It is time to give back to the people! We will all be watching anxiously on August 5th to see if Dale Jr. can win. If he does, I will gladly cut one of them a check!”

Only fans that are present at for the Pennsylvania 400 will be eligible to win. Fans who are present at the track will have until the half waypoint of the race to register. If Earnhardt does capture the win four other fans will win two terrace club tickets to a 2013 race at the track.
